[SRRA]: Contaminants of Emerging Concern web page now available

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP), Site Remediation and Waste Management Program (SRWMP) announces a new web page, with information regarding contaminants of emerging concern. The web page currently focuses on Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS), including information related to the accepted New Jersey Drinking Water Quality Institute's recommended health-based maximum contaminant level (MCL) of 14 nanograms per liter (ng/L, or parts per trillion) for perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA). The web page also includes links to other resources regarding contaminants of emerging concern.

The new web page can be found at www.nj.gov/dep/srp/emerging-contaminants/. Additional information regarding the New Jersey Drinking Water Quality Institute's recommended health-based MCL for PFOA of 14 ng/L can be found at www.nj.gov/dep/watersupply/dwc_quality_pfoa.html.

The Department intends to update this web page, as additional information becomes available for other contaminants of emerging concern, as well as those already included.
