Dewatering
For temporary ground and surface water control (dewatering) diversions in excess of 100,000* gallons of water per day, the project owner must obtain a Dewatering Allocation Permit, or Dewatering Permit-by-Rule or Short Term Permit-by-Rule depending on the duration of the diversion and the method employed.
* At the 100,000 gallons per day threshold additional approvals for water diversion may be required by the Delaware River Basin Commission and the New Jersey Pinelands Commission.
