THE 4TH ANNUAL NEW JERSEY VOLUNTEER MONITORING SUMMIT
"Converting Data Into Information to Initiate Local
November 2 and 3, 2006
at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey
New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, in
partnership with the Watershed Watch Network and Monmouth
University, is host to this annual two-day event which
will feature two of our national volunteer monitoring
partners, Eleanor Ely and Robert Carlson. NJDEP Commissioner
Lisa P. Jackson will also present as this year's keynote
speaker. This year's theme is Converting Data
into Information to Initiate Local Changes.
Presentations will include projects, programs and outreach
tools that have been effective in meeting program goals
and initiating change. Come learn about monitoring techniques,
how to use the new web-based data system, managing volunteers
and monitoring efforts at the local, state and federal
