Display your Monthly Basic & Essential (B&E) Health Premium Version 2.02

B&E Plans are limited benefit plans that provide coverage for inpatient care and some outpatient services. For more information about B&E plans, see the IHC Buyer’s Guide. Please note: Not all Carriers offer all plans or plan options. If a Carrier does not offer a plan or plan option, the Monthly Health Insurance Premium calculator will not display a dollar amount.

First, choose a Carrier:

Next, choose how many people you want to cover:

Single (one person)
Adult and child(ren) (one adult plus one or more children)
Two Adults (a married couple, domestic partnership, or civil union couple)
Family (two adults and one or more children)

If covering a child under 19 years old, consider NJ FamilyCare or NJ FamilyCare Advantage. Also note, an adult child may stay on a parent’s policy until age 26, and may be eligible to remain on a parent’s group coverage until age 31 in New Jersey. For more information, see the Department of Banking and Insurance’s website or talk to your employer.

Then, choose the age range of the oldest person who will be covered under the plan:

Carriers may consider age, but may use only the age categories specified in the drop-down list.

Next, choose whether you want a rider for the B&E Plan:

Carriers are permitted to offer riders that enhance the benefits of the B&E Plan; some carriers do, and some don’t. If the carrier you selected does not, the calculator will not display a premium. For more detail about how a carrier’s rider enhances the B&E Plan, contact the carrier.

Now, choose the gender of the oldest person to be covered:

Finally, choose where the oldest person to be covered lives:

Not every carrier rates by territory, but you must choose a location to continue to the rate display. If there is a mismatch between the first three digits of your zip code and your county, choose by zip code.
