Annual Open Enrollment for 2019 Begins in November 2018

There are two ways to buy individual health insurance coverage:

Through the Marketplace

Open Enrollment to purchase 2019 health plans under the Affordable Care Act begins November 1, 2018.

Depending on your income, you may qualify for a tax credit that will lower your monthly premium on a plan purchased through the Marketplace.

Special Enrollment Period: If you have certain life events such as birth, marriage, loss of coverage or relocation, you can enroll in health coverage through the Marketplace or change your current coverage without waiting for the Annual Open Enrollment.

To find out if you qualify, go to www.HealthCare.gov or call 1-800-318-2596.

Open Enrollment to purchase 2019 health plans through the Individual Health Coverage Program (IHC) begins November 1, 2018.

The IHC Program was created to ensure that people without access to employer or government sponsored health care programs could purchase health coverage for themselves and their families from a variety of private carriers.

Special Enrollment Period: If you have certain life events such as birth, marriage, loss of coverage or relocation, you have the right to buy an individual policy or change your current coverage without waiting for the Annual Open Enrollment Period.
