Student Opportunities Afterschool=Results (S.O.A.R.) directly addresses the academic, cultural/artistic, health, nutrition, fitness and physical activity, youth development and social/emotional needs of students in grades 4 through 8, at Washington, Gilmore, Emerson, and Union Hill Schools. SOAR also addresses the family literacy and parental education needs of the parents and student and family counseling. It provides opportunities for positive interactions with peers and caring adults, and offers a constructive, academically-enriched after school environment that promotes positive student achievement and personal growth.
