Professional Development for Project Year Three: 2007-08
- Fall 2007 Onsite Workshops: These full-day workshops focus on the results from the spring 2007 testing cycle and will address the practical application of best practice in world languages classrooms based on findings from NJSTAMP test results. Presenter: Kyle Ennis, Language Learning Solutions
- Tuesday, September 25, 2007- Full-day professional development workshop for STAMP supervisors and teachers that participated in Year 1 or Years 1 and 2 of the project
- Wednesday, September 26, 2007- Repeat of the September 25 workshop
- Workshop Site: Performing Arts Theater in the College Center at Middlesex County College in Edison from 9AM- 4PM. Registration begins at 8:30.
- Snacks/Meals: Available in the food court in the College Center
- Directions: www.middlesexcc.edu Parking is available in the Visitor Parking Lots. Please park only in spaces marked with white lines.
- Registration Deadline: The registration deadline is SEPTEMBER 18. STAMP workshops are offered at no cost to participants.

- Tuesday, September 25, 2007- Full-day professional development workshop for STAMP supervisors and teachers that participated in Year 1 or Years 1 and 2 of the project
- Winter 2008 Onsite Workshops: These half-day workshops focus on testing logistics for the 2008 school year and will outline new features and processes for administering the NJSTAMP Test. Topics include: technology preparation, student readiness (practice tests), reports management and general support information. This training session will also include reports from participating district supervisors and teachers on how they have used STAMP data to improve student achievement in their language programs. Presenter: Kyle Ennis
- A choice of two three-hour professional development sessions from 9AM-12PM or 1PM-4PM will be offered to all STAMP supervisors and teachers participating in the project on: Monday, Janurary 28, 2008 and Tuesday, January 29, 2008.
- Workshop Site: Performing Arts Theater in the College Center at Middlesex County College in Edison. Registration begins at 8:30 for the AM session and 12:30 for the PM session.
- Snacks/Meals: Available in the food court in the College Center
- Directions: www.middlesexcc.edu Parking is available in the Visitor Parking Lots. Please park only in spaces marked with white lines. In case of inclement weather, if the college is closed, the workshops are cancelled. Snow date: February 1.
- Registration Deadline: The registration deadline is JANUARY 18. STAMP workshops are offered at no cost to participants.

- Spring 2008 Onsite Workshops: These full-day workshops focus on results from the spring 2008 testing cycle and will include an analysis of comparative data for the three years of the project. In addition, presentations will be made by several participating districts on how the project has helped improve student achievement and program quality through data driven instruction strategies and professional development. - VALID Rater Training: If you are interested in learning how to rate STAMP Test responses and becoming a certified rater, contact mjennis@onlinells.com. All graders are trained at no cost and certified through VALID, the proprietary, online rater-training and monitoring system for STAMP. VALID allows raters to be geographically dispersed, offers scheduling flexibility and a professional development opportunity. Certified raters are compensated by LLS for rating test responses.
- Graduate Course on Assessment Literacy: The University of Oregon will provide 2 graduate credits for successful completion of the following course offered during the Fall 2007 and Winter 2008 Semesters.
