Jill M. Ross
Jill M. Ross is a Teacher of Biological Sciences at the Morris County School of Technology, where she has taught Biology, Honors Biology, Genetics, Environmental Science, and Anatomy & Physiology. She earned a B.S. in Health Studies from Boston University and a Masters of Education in Instructional Design and Technology. In addition to her teaching demands, Mrs. Ross has worked with the New Jersey Department of Education developing curriculum including Science & Sustainability, Biotechnology Research & Development, and Biomanufacturing. During her spare time, Jill teaches professional development courses in educational technology. When designing lessons, Jill incorporates her love for Science and Technology in order to hook and challenge students.
On any given day, you can enter Mrs. Ross’s class and find it buzzing with energy as students dive into a wide variety of activities. Jill’s classroom is accessible entirely online making it appealing to the 21st century learner. Her students learn responsibility by managing their own time and choosing from activities such as watching her lesson screencasts on a YouTube Channel, completing online quizzes, analyzing virtual labs, playing interactive review games, conducting hands-on experiments or other research activities. All of these learning activities are also centered on a real world problem and group project. It is this unique teaching style and class design that makes Mrs. Ross a favorite among the students at the Morris County School of Technology.
