Kathleen Carter

Kathleen Carter has been a teacher at North Hunterdon High School for eight years teaching Honors Algebra II and Trigonometry, Precalculus II, Discrete Mathematics, Algebra I and Financial Literacy. Previously, she taught mathematics at Kirkwood High School, Kirkwood, MO, and the Interactive Mathematics Program at Brookline High School in Brookline, MA.

Kathleen has been an active leader for the mathematics programs in the district. She created a Discrete Mathematics course, assisted with the interdisciplinary development of a Financial Literacy course, and has contributed to the implementation of the Common Core State Standards.  Mrs. Carter shares her passion for teaching at the annual Good Ideas in Teaching Precalculus Conference at Rutgers University.  In April 2013, she coordinated activities for the math month theme of Mathematics of Sustainability.

Kathleen has an M. Ed.  in Mathematics from DeSales University, an M. Ed. in Secondary Education from the University of Massachusetts Boston, and a B.A. in Psychology/Biology from Drew University.
