DOE Announces "Network of Schools" Web Site
The Department of Education today proudly announces the launch of the "Network of Schools" Web Site, the newest online feature found at www.state.nj.us/njded/nos.
The main focus of the Network of Schools is to encourage school districts to share information with each other and with the Department of Education (DOE) in order to gain a better understanding of what works and what may not work in classrooms statewide.
"We want to define a problem and change the outcome," Commissioner Librera said when he announced the program earlier this year. "We want to spotlight, support, emphasize and embrace best practices. With the Network of Schools, we will be able to succeed in both regards."
School districts are encouraged to submit information on the three topics to the DOE via a database form. Information on how to do so is found on the Web Site. Please note: topics are limited to the Achievement Imperative, Special Education and Small Schools.
