Abbott Advisory

Gordon MacInnes, Assistant Commissioner Division of Abbott Implementation, has provided to the State Board of Education a copy of a letter sent by Nancy Kaplen, assistant attorney general, to the clerk of the New Jersey Supreme Court summarizing the argument that the Commissioner of Education is advancing in his efforts to have the court modify its Abbott rulings so that educators focus on educational practices and policies that are both effective and efficient. The department is making public a copy of the letter.
