Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness Events
- The New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness will sponsor multiple sessions, offered throughout the year, of a one-day training course titled, "Site Protection through Observational Techniques" (AWR-219). The course will be instructed by the National Center for Biomedical Research and Training (NCBRT) at Louisiana State University (LSU), a member of the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium (NDPC). - NJ OHSP, Monmouth County Sherriff and NJ Emergency Medical Services Taskforce (NJEMSTF) are sponsoring delivery of a two-day (Jan. 30-31) training course titled, "Pediatric Disaster Response and Emergency Preparedness (MGT-439)." The training will be delivered by the Texas Engineering Extension Service, a member of the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium. There is no cost to attend this course. Online FEMA Courses
A 2-day field delivery course is being offered to school districts and their partner agencies, law enforcement, EMS, fire, etc. to develop and/or refine an all-hazards plan that follows the guidance set forth in the FEMA Comprehensive Preparedness Guide, CPG-101. This guidance illustrates federally recognized best practices and takes into account New Jersey's state requirements.
