NATIONAL INFORMATION
- More than 30,000 applications received for the Universal Service Fund by the Schools and Libraries Division (SLD).
- This tenth wave notified agencies that submitted approximately 1135 applications.
- Total amount of Universal Service Funds committed nationally in the form of a discount on eligible services for this wave: approximately $257 million.
NEW JERSEY INFORMATION
- New Jersey's schools and libraries have applied for more than $74 million in E-Rate discounts. New Jersey's E-Rate applications would directly benefit 63% of its public school districts, 50% of its non-public schools, and 33% of its libraries throughout the state.
- Total amount of Universal Service Funds committed to New Jersey in the form of a discount on eligible services in this wave: $6,327,237.64. Total amount committed to New Jersey at this time: $61,377,231.40, which is 3.7% of national total (approximately $1.6 billion).
- Total number of awards in NJ for wave ten: 1135. (NJ comprised 2.7% of the total national awards.)
- Number of agencies notified in the tenth wave: 30. Many agencies filed more than one application for separate services in the following categories:
