In addition to being the First Lady of New Jersey, I also work as a bond trader for Cantor Fitzgerald. On September 11th, 2001, Cantor was the worst hit company, losing 658 employees, all of the employees in the office at the time of the attacks, which equaled two thirds of its work force. Charity Day has been held every year since 2001 to commemorate those who lost their lives that day by donating Cantor’s global revenues on the day to charities. This year, the Governor joined me at work as a “Celebrity Broker”. He was on the phones with various Cantor clients trying to get them to execute trades and, in turn, make money for the chosen charities. It was so great to see him in my work environment doing the job that I do! A couple of other “Celebrity Brokers” that I had the pleasure of meeting that day were Michael J. Fox and Kelly Rowland. You can see the various charities that received donations that day on the Cantor Fitzgerald website.
