Sculpture Unveiling at Drumthwacket

photoAlt I was thrilled to welcome a new piece to the Drumthwacket Art Collection today. Gloria and Herbert Glatt, from Harding Township, donated a J. Seward Johnson life-size bronze sculpture called “Between Appointments”. This is a whimsical piece that consists of sculpture of a man lying on the bench with the newspaper over his face. I know it will be a joy to the many NJ residences that visit Drumthwacket every year. Funny story - someone forgot to tell one of the night troopers about the statue being added to the Drumthwacket grounds. He saw it on the surveillance camera and thought someone got on the grounds. He ran outside and pulled a gun on it! Just goes to show how life-like Seward Johnson’s sculptures are…
