Today I had the pleasure of visiting the ECLC P.R.I.D.E. Center in Chatham. The P.R.I.D.E Center is for adults with autism and other special needs. The P.R.I.D.E. Program offers these adults a place to go during the day that will help them develop important life skills and vocational training. I also had a chance to tour P.R.I.D.E. CO, which provides in house work opportunities for clients. Programs like these are so important to families that deal with autism. They give confidence and a sense of self-worth to the people who are involved with these programs. I saw a real sense of community and family today during my visit. The clients of ECLC are achieving their greatest potential.
