First Lady Mary Pat Christie visits with local residents and businesses in Point Pleasant
On February 22nd, Mary Pat Christie spent a day at the Shore touring reconstruction efforts and greeting local residents and business owners in Point Pleasant Beach.
Her first stop was to the boardwalk for a photo shoot with NJ BIZ, where she will be featured for her work as Chairwoman of the New Jersey Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund.
The second stop was a visit to Jersey Mike’s Subs. Mrs. Christie was delighted to kick off their “Month of Giving” fundraising effort. This March, 19 Jersey Mike’s Subs franchises in Monmouth and Ocean counties will participate in the “Month of Giving” by supporting the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund. Mrs. Christie met the staff, store manager and owner of the Point Pleasant shop, as well as the CEO and COO of Jersey Mike’s Subs. She even got behind the counter while employees showed her how to make a famous sub!
Following her stop to Jersey Mike’s, Mrs. Christie had the opportunity to meet with local Rite Aid employees and store managers in Point Pleasant.
