The Governor, First Lady, and their children, Sarah, Patrick, and Bridget, participated in a community service event for America’s Grow-A-Row.  Chip Pailex, founder of America’s Grow-A-Row, was chosen as one of the Christie’s “New Jersey Heroes” and was recognized during the Governor’s Inaugural Address for the incredible work he does every day.  Mrs. Christie thought a good way to show their appreciation would be to bring her family and staff members from the Governor’s Office to the Grow-A-Row farm to help harvest green beans for a day!  America’s Grow-A-Row plants and harvests produce through the work of mostly volunteers for various food banks around the state.  http://www.americasgrowarow.org
