The Governor and Mrs. Christie participated in Cantor Fitzgerald’s Charity Day on September 13th at the Cantor Fitzgerald offices in New York City. Charity Day was created following the World Trade Center attacks on September 11th, 2001. Cantor Fitzgerald promised the 658 families of their employees who perished that day, that they would receive 25% of the firm’s profits for 5 years and 10 years of healthcare benefits for those who needed it. Charity Day is held each year to commemorate those who were lost by donating Cantor’s global revenues on the day to charities. Mrs. Christie works at Cantor Fitzgerald as a bond trader. The Governor was a “Celebrity Broker” for the day to help raise money through executing trades with Cantor’s clients.
