Mrs. Christie participated in this year’s Read for the Record Campaign. Presented in partnership with Pearson Foundation, this world record breaking campaign brings children and adults together to read the same book, on the same day, in homes and communities all over the world. This year, the book The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats was chosen. Mrs. Christie read this book to pre-school and kindergarten aged children at the Douglass Developmental Disabilities Center (DDDC) in New Brunswick. The DDDC serves children ages 3 to 21 who are diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder.
