Visit to Woodrow Wilson Middle School’s Coffee Shop

Mrs. Christie visited the Woodrow Wilson Middle School Coffee Shop today.  The Coffee Shop, which is open on Friday’s during the school year, is run by a special class for children with autism or multiple learning disabilities that attend Woodrow Wilson.  Their teacher, Thomas Macchiaverna, started the program in October 2010.  The proceeds from the sale of coffee, tea, and various treats, which averages about $100 per week, go to help pay for trips and activities for the class.
