Trenton, NJ - This week, Christie Administration officials will continue to volunteer their time and highlight service opportunities as part of the second annual "Season of Service," which began on Thanksgiving Eve with Governor Chris Christie, First Lady Mary Pat Christie, Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno and 21 Cabinet officials distributing Thanksgiving dinners to Hurricane Sandy victims at 19 Lowe's locations around the state. This year's initiative builds upon the success of "Season of Service 2011," in which Cabinet members participated in approximately 60 events across New Jersey, and underscores the same commitment to community the Governor emphasized in his 2010 inaugural address. Throughout December, Christie Administration officials will volunteer their time in a variety of ways, with a focus on New Jerseyans impacted by Hurricane Sandy. Today, approximately 1.5 million New Jerseyans contribute about 170 million hours of service each year, bringing a positive influence to neighborhoods and communities throughout the Garden State.
Please see below for a list of Administration officials who will be participating in community service events over the week of December 10 - 14. Any inquiries on the below events should be directed to the corresponding department or agency.
