The March 2000
Current Population Survey (CPS), which provides estimates of health
insurance coverage for calendar year 1999, was re-released to reflect
Census 2000 data in the weighting parameters.
While overall, the changes in New Jersey estimates are minor,
for certain sub-populations the changes can be more significant.
In addition,
in December 2002, the Census Bureau released a revised version of
the March 2001 CPS, which provides estimates of health insurance coverage
for calendar year 2000. This has also resulted in minor changes to
previously released estimates of health insurance coverage in 2000.
These newly released
tables provide estimates of health insurance coverage based on the
re-released versions of the March 2000 and March 2001 CPS, as well
as information on coverage in 2001 based on the March 2002 CPS.
