The Center for Health Statistics & Informatics (CHS) is a unit of Healthcare Quality & Informatics within the office of Population Health. CHS is responsible for compiling and releasing statistical information on the health of New Jersey residents. CHS publishes official reports on births, deaths, chronic illnesses, injuries, and behavioral risk factors, among other types of information. CHS provides analytical support to state and other governmental agencies to support population health initiatives
Healthy New Jersey 2020 is a component of the State’s Health Improvement Plan and its health promotion and disease prevention agenda for the decade. It is modeled after the federal Healthy People 2020 initiative and is the result of a multiyear process that reflects input from a diverse group of individuals and organizations
