Ruth Charbonneau, RN, JD Chief of Staff Ruth Charbonneau became the Department’s Chief of Staff on May 23, 2011. In her role as Chief of Staff, she is responsible for oversight of administrative and programmatic operations of the Department and Office of the Commissioner and serves in a general advisory role to the Commissioner. Ms. Charbonneau brings to the position professional experience as a registered nurse in acute care, home, and out-patient clinic settings and an extensive history of state service. Ruth began her career as a New Jersey Governor’s Fellow in 1989. Thereafter, Ruth has worked in various capacities at the Department, including Senior Policy Analyst, Director of the Center for Health Statistics, and Director of the Office of Policy and Research. From 2003 to 2010, she served as the Department’s Director of the Office of Legal and Regulatory Affairs. Ruth Charbonneau received her RN Diploma from Faulkner Hospital School of Nursing in Boston, Massachusetts, a BA from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts, and a JD from Case Western Reserve School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio. |
