The Regulated Medical Waste Project provides information to the public, state and local government
agencies on the regulations governing medical waste. The Project:

• conducts regulated medical waste compliance evaluations, inspections and investigations.
• contributes to the process of regulated medical waste standards development.
• provides information through consultation and distribution of materials.
• reviews the efficacy of Alternative Technologies that are designed to treat and/or destroy
  medical waste.
