EHTB Air Representative 20080925 The Statewide_PM25_indicators_2006.xls file is the output data file from a SAS program to calculate the air indicators as developed by CDC's EPHT air team and approved by the CWG steering committee. The indicators use EPA air quality data (from ambient air monitors) and the methdology described in the air team's indicator report. The file contains, for each county with complete monitoring data: the year, state FIPS code, total county count, county count with monitors, county count without monitors, percent poluation living in counties for state with monitors above benchmark (default federal NAAQS), percent poluation living in counties for state with monitors at/below benchmark (default federal NAAQS), and percent poluation living in counties for state without monitors. The data are intended for use in CDC's EPHT portal for displays describing PM2.5-related air quality across the U.S. by county.
