WIC Vendor Agreement

Vendor participation in New Jersey WIC is a privilege, not a right. Every retail establishment that accepts WIC vouchers, checks, or other WIC forms of payment must adhere to the WIC Vendor Agreement.

Vendors for New Jersey WIC

New Jersey WIC program participants receive vouchers and checks for healthy foods, which may be redeemed at authorized stores. These stores then receive payment from New Jersey WIC. There are more than 900 authorized WIC vendors in New Jersey.

Becoming a WIC Vendor

Retail establishments that meet the New Jersey WIC Vendor Selection Criteria, and are willing to stock specific brands and sizes of WIC-authorized foods can apply to become WIC-authorized vendors.

In November 2017, New Jersey Department of Health announced a new Open Access Policy for interested retailers. Open Access means interested retailers that are program eligible will be provided an opportunity to apply for NJ WIC Vendor Authorization.

  • NJ WIC is notifying each retailer currently on the WIC Vendor Waiting List to complete the Initial Vendor Assessment Form.
  • If you own a retail store location in New Jersey that is not New Jersey WIC Authorized, and would like to be assessed for authorization, you must complete the Initial Vendor Assessment Form.
