Reports were received from (45) schools from the following counties: Atlantic (14), Bergen (1), Cape May (6) Hudson (1), Morris (15), Ocean (7), and Union (1).

The reported absenteeism rate among school students was 3.9%, which is the tenth for this school year flu season that started on September 23, 2003.

Reports were received from (15) nursing homes from the following counties: Atlantic (4), Cape May (2), Mercer (1), Morris (3), and Ocean (5).

The reported influenza-like illness rate among nursing home residents was 1.24%, which is the tenth report for this flu season. that started on September 23, 2003.

Reports were received from (12) hospital emergency departments from the following counties: Atlantic (2), Cape May (1), Mercer (3), Morris (2), Ocean (1), and Union (3).

The reported influenza-like illness rate among Emergency Department patients was 5.51%, which is the tenth for this flu season that started on September 23, 2003.
