The Grants Unit is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and monitoring the entire grants system in the Department of Health. This system blends Federal Cost Principles, NJ Treasury requirements, and Department policy into an efficient, effective, and accountable system. The System for Administering Grants Electronically (SAGE) was developed to provide electronic processing with report generating features. General questions regarding the process may be directed to the Grant Unit and specific questions regarding a grant program are directed to the division.
Each Division is responsible for managing grants issued within their division. They establish the specific criteria for grant programs, evaluate and select applications to be funded, and monitor the performance. For information regarding available grant program you should contact the person identified in the Directory of Grant Programs. After an award is issued you contact the Program Management Officer and the Grants Management Officer identified in the grant award.
