TRENTON -- The New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) is proposing to readopt without amendments the rules at N.J.A.C. 8:45 regarding clinical laboratory services.

These rules set forth the procedures and fees for the initial licensure and annual license renewal for clinical laboratories; the fees for those laboratories enrolled in the state’s Clinical Laboratory Improvement Service analytical proficiency testing program; and the fee schedule for testing services provided by the Department of Health and Senior Services Public Health and Environmental Laboratory.

The proposal appears in the April 18, 2005 issue of the New Jersey Register.  The public has until June 17, 2005 to comment on the proposal.  Persons wishing to comment on the proposal must submit their comments in writing to Dennis P. McDonough, M.P.H., Director, Clinical Laboratory Improvement Service, Department of Health and Senior Services, P.O. Box 361, Trenton, New Jersey 08625-0371.  Written comments must be postmarked on or before June 17, 2005, which is the close of the 60-day public comment period.
