Residents with health concerns relating to the DuPont Pompton Lakes Works site in Pompton Lakes are invited to attend an October 15 session to discuss their concerns with representatives of the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services and the federal Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry.
The two agencies are preparing a report on the potential health issues among residents from exposures to the DuPont site. One of the purposes of this report is to address residents’ health concerns.
The availability sessions – which are informal, one-on-one discussions between residents and public health officials – will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Borough Hall on Lenox Avenue. No appointment is needed.
It’s not necessary to attend a session if you already spoke to a representative at one of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s meetings held earlier this summer.
If you are unable to attend either of the October 15 sessions but have health concerns, please call Sharon Kubiak or Somia Aluwalia of the Department of Health and Senior Services at (609) 584-5367.
