The New Jersey Health IT Program is a highly dynamic program made up of numerous initiatives. At its core, the Health IT Program is focused on enabling statewide health information exchange, moving providers to adopting electronic health record (EHR) systems, and engaging consumer and other stakeholders. Other phases of the Program center on laying the strategy/foundation, implementing the systems, and operationalizing a model of statewide HIE. The diagram below illustrates the completed phases and current/future focus of the New Jersey Health IT Program.
As we healthcare providers adopt EHR technology and begin to electronically exchange health information, the New Jersey Health IT Program is actively monitoring the State's progress. The Health IT Program Dashboard highlights key metrics that indicate progress of the Program and the State.
