Becoming a Qualified Research Institution

Qualified Research Institution Form

The New Jersey Commission on Spinal Cord Research requires that the organization or institution of a grant applicant be approved as a qualified research institution PRIOR to the submission of a grant application.

If your organization or institution IS listed and appears in the form, you DO NOT need to submit this form. Those organizations or institutions that have NOT been approved, and are not listed on the form MUST apply to the Commission first to be considered to become qualified in order to apply for spinal cord research grants.

Qualifying Institutions Definition: For the purpose of all New Jersey Commission on Spinal Cord Research grants, a qualifying institution is defined as any academic institution, research organization, public or private institution or other entity, located in the State of New Jersey, with a demonstrated capacity to conduct grant funded research, and specifically approved by the vote of the Commission, but in no case can an individual be a qualifying research institution.
