12.18.14  Successful Presentation Held for Provider Community

Thank you to all those professionals who registered for and attended the Divison's December 18th presentation. The DDD Systems Reform: An Overview for Emerging Leaders in the Provider Community slide presentation is available for review, and the filmed presentation will be coming soon.

12.16.14   Stakeholder Input Invited

The Division invites all stakeholders to provide input regarding proposed amendments to the Supports Program. For information, please visit the Division's Supports Program web page.

Please forward input to no later than January 7, 2015.    

11.21.14   2015 Graduates Timeline Available

The 2015 Graduates Aging Out of the School System Timeline is now available. It provides an overview for young adults who will exhaust their educational entitlement by turning 21 years of age within the 2014-15 school year, and who wish to pursue Division-funded services.  

11.10.14   Division Circular on Mechanical Restraints Revised

A revision of Division Circular #20, Mechanical Restraint and Safeguarding Equipment, was adopted in the New Jersey Register on November 3, 2014. This revision reflects the Division's intention to reduce or eliminate the use of mechanical restraints, an issue with which we continue to work with our partners. 

10.20.14   NEW! Fee for Service Rate Schedule: Quick Reference Guide

The Division has developed a revised, more user-friendly Fee for Service Rate Schedule: Quick Reference Guide.

10.10.14   Provider Qualification Process Temporarily on Hold

Please be advised that effective October 20, 2014, the qualification of new service providers will be temporarily on hold. Any applications currently in process or those in transit and received by October 17, 2014 for open services at this time will continue to be processed. The Day Habilitation qualification process continues to be on hold.

This change is necessary due to the development of the Medicaid provider application process as part of the Division’s system reform efforts. The Medicaid provider application will remain open for Support Coordination services only. Please check the Supports Program page of the Division’s website regularly for updates regarding the Medicaid application process.

12.09.13   Central Registry

A Central Registry of Offenders against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities was established in the Department of Human Services through bi-partisan legislative support and a law signed by Governor Chris Christie on April 30, 2010.  Information can be found at Central Registry of Offenders against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities website.

12.02.13   Developmental Disabilities and Mentall Illness Report

The Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities and Mental Illness/Substance Use Disorder Treatment Work Group convened by the New Jersey Department of Human Services has posted its final report on the Division of Mental Health Services website, under Managed Behavior Health Organization.
