SEPTEMBER 2012 - Direct Support Professionals (DSP) Recognition Ceremony: September 11, 2012
SEMPTEMBER 2011 - Governor Chris Christie proclaims September 11-17, 20011 as Direct Support Professionals Week.
September 2010 - Department of Human Services (DHS) Commissioner Jennifer Velez honored the service of Direct Support Professionals and announced the launch of an advanced internet-based educational program (College of Direct Support) for professionals providing direct care to people receiving services through the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). Held at DDD’s central office in Hamilton, approximately 100 invited guests from human services agencies and advocacy organizations attended the event. Read more…
