The New Jersey Departments of Community Affairs (DCA) and Human Services (DHS) along with the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency have launched a Special Needs Housing Partnership aimed at creating affordable, supportive housing for 600 people with developmental disabilities by June 2013. November 2011 - The Department of Community Affairs/Department of Human Services (DCA/DHS) review of the fire suppression system requirements resulted in the determination that a NFPA 13D fire sprinkler system may be installed in licensed community homes with five or fewer persons, one or more of whom cannot evacuate in three minutes or less.
