Superstorm Sandy Child Care Service Subsidy

Accepting applications through May 16th, 2014.

 

Child care subsidies are available for families who were displaced and/or lost employment as a direct impact of Superstorm Sandy. These funds, are available only to families living in the nine significantly impacted counties:  Atlantic, Bergen, Cape May, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, and Union. However, if you have been displaced and are temporarily living in another county, you may be eligible for this program. 

This program is funded with a federal Social Services Block Grant administered by the New Jersey Department of Human Services’ Division of Family Development.

Who is Eligible Families, displaced and/or lost employment
   
General Requirements Families need to provide evidence of citizenship (birth certificate or Social Security card) or qualifying alien status for the child(ren) needing child care services and support the need for service as a direct result of Superstorm Sandy.
   
Application Process Families must complete a Child Care and Early Service Eligibility Application (available at your CCR&R), and other related forms as required.
