NEW JERSEY SELLS ONE WINNING $250,000 TICKET
AS MEGA MILLIONS ROLLS TO $37 MILLION
Essex County Winner Joins Growing Ranks of NJ Mega Millions Winners
TRENTON, NJ – (November 23, 2009) – One lucky New Jersey Lottery player has won the Mega Millions second prize of $250,000 for the Friday, November 20 drawing. The winning ticket, which was sold in Essex County , was purchased at Jelling of Roseland, located at 4 Becker Farm Road in Roseland.
“Congratulations to Jelling of Roseland ,” said the Lottery's Acting Executive Director Marilyn T. Blazovsky. “ For selling this ticket, they will receive a bonus check for $500. They have become one of the Lottery's most recent ‘lucky locations' overnight.”
While there was no top-prize winner, 50,085 other New Jersey players took home $231,934 in prizes ranging from $2 to $10,000, according to Blazovsky.
The winning numbers for the Friday, November 20 drawing were: 03, 04, 07, 16, and 56 and the Gold Mega Ball number was 39. With no winner of the top prize, the Mega Millions jackpot will roll to $37,000,000 for the next drawing, which will be held on Tuesday, November 24 at 11:00 pm on NJN-TV – the New Jersey Network.
Mega Millions member states include: New Jersey , California , Georgia , Illinois , Maryland , Massachusetts , Michigan , New York , Ohio , Texas , Virginia and Washington .
