1. How many licenses do I need to practice in New Jersey?
One individual license.

 

2. How often am I required to renew my license?
Every two years upon expiration of your license. All perfusionist licenses have the same expiration date.

 


 

Complaint:

1. How do I make a complaint against a perfusionist?
You can print out a complaint form from the Web site, fill it out and mail it back to the Committee’s office. The investigation will begin once the Committee has received your complaint.

 


 

Training and Exams:

1.How many exams are required before approval for licensure?
One exam given by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.

 


 

Continuing Education:

1.How many hours of electrology coursework is required for licensure?
There are no specifications regarding the types of courses. However, the applicant must submit an official transcript of the Perfusion Education Program he/she completed which was approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.
