Dedicated to the elimination of
crimes motivated by animousity toward others because of race,
color, religion, sexual orientation, ethnicity, gender or disability,
this Office assists law enforcement throughout the state in the
investigation and prosecution of bias incidents and facilitates
training for police in bias crime investigation, cultural diversity
awareness and conflict resolution. The Division's Office of Bias
Crime and Community Relations works with county and municipal
human relations commissions to coordinate efforts to promote understanding
among members of our diverse state community.
