Assistant Adjutant General - Air, New Jersey

Brigadier General Kevin J. Keehn serves as the Assistant Adjutant General - Air, Joint Force Headquarters, New Jersey Air National Guard, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. His duties include assisting the Commander, New Jersey Air National Guard, with the oversight of 2,300 Airmen comprising two Air Wings within the state. General Keehn also serves as the principal advisor to the Adjutant General for plans and requirements on matters pertaining to Military Support to Civilian Authorities.

General Keehn enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1975 and served in the Strategic Air Command at Kincheloe Air Force Base, Michigan and Castle Air Force Base, California as an In- flight Refueling Operator. In 1979 he was honorably discharged and joined the New Jersey Air National Guard, 170th Air Refueling Group, as a part time in-flight refueling operator. General Keehn was commissioned through the Academy of Military Science, McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base, Knoxville, Tennessee, in April 1984.

General Keehn has served as both the 150th and 141st Air Refueling Squadron's Operations Director, the 170th Air Refueling Group and the 108th Air Refueling Wing Chief, Standardization and Evaluation, the 108th Operations Group Commander and the 108th Wing Commander. He has served in many operations; including Operations Desert Storm I and II, Northern Watch, Joint Forge, Allied Force, Noble Eagle, Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.
