The
decision to pursue a college education is a huge
step. The path of higher education can lead to expanded
opportunities, in the National Guard and your civilian
career.
As
your Education Center Staff, we encourage you to take
advantage of the Guard's education programs. Make
a goal and take the first step toward personal satisfaction
and self improvement.
A soldier's official civilian education file is kept
with the soldier's 201 file at the Personnel Services
Branch in HQ STARC. It is the soldier's responsibility
to keep this file current. When a soldier leaves the
NJ Guard, their file is transferred along with their
personnel file.
| VETERAN'S
ADMINISTRATION WORK STUDY |
Under
the provisions of the Veterans Administration Education
Programs, soldiers eligible for Montgomery GI Bill
benefits may also qualify to participate in the Veterans
Administration Work Study Program. Under this
program soldiers that are attending college on at
least a three-quarter time basis are eligible for
employment by the VA. Participants may work
a maximum of 25 hours per week and receive federal
minimum wage--tax free.
The
NJARNG Education Center sponsors a number of
positions for this program. Personnel participating
in this program work at the Education Center or other
locations coordinated by the Full-Time Education Staff.

follow NJ Turnpike south to exit 7(Bordentown)
to Route 206 south (approx .5 miles, stay
left) to Route 68 south (8 miles) to third
traffic light, turn left onto Saylors Pond
Road, proceed approx 200 yards, turn right
onto Florida Ave, go to second driveway, park
in lot, enter Building 3650 through front
(center) door. |

the South: follow NJ Turnpike
north to exit 7 and follow directions above. |

the West:
follow Route 537 east to Route 68 traffic
light, turn right onto Route 68, proceed south
on Route 68 approx 1 mile to traffic light
at Saylors Pond Road, turn left and follow
directions in paragraph 1. |

the East:
follow Interstate 195 west to exit 16 (Great
Adventure, Jackson), proceed west on Route
537 (towards Mount Holly) to Route 68, turn
left on Route 68, proceed south approx 1 mile
to traffic light at Saylors Pond Road, turn
