Demobilized 27 May 1919 at Camp Dix, New Jersey

Reorganized and Federally recognized 30 June 1919 in the New Jersey National Guard at Newark as Headquarters Company, 6th Infantry

Redesignated 17 June 1921 as Headquarters Company, 113th Infantry, an element of the 44th Division

Inducted into Federal service 16 September 1940 at Newark

(113th Infantry relieved 20 February 1942 from assignment to the 44th Division)

Inactivated 25 September 1945 at Camp Rucker, Alabama

Converted and redesignated 1 August 1946 as the 50th Armored Signal Company and assigned to the 50th Armored Division

Reorganized and Federally recognized 10 February 1947 at Newark

Location changed 31 January 1957 to Plainfield

Reorganized and redesignated 1 March 1959 as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 250th Signal Battalion, and remained assigned to the 50th Armored Division (organic elements concurrently organized from new and existing units)

(Location of Headquarters changed 1 February 1968 to Orange; changed 1 November 1973 to Plainfield)

Relieved 1 September 1993 from assignment to the 50th Armored Division and assigned to the 42d Infantry Division
