Rahway Resident Maj. Vicci Promoted To Lieutenant Colonel WEST
TRENTON, NJ - Rahway resident Maj. Robert Vicci, the General Safety
Officer, Headquarters State Area Command, was promoted to lieutenant colonel
in ceremony held at the 1-150th Aviation Battalion, New Jersey Army National
Guard, located at the Army Aviation Support Facility, at Trenton-Mercer
Airport on June 2.
Lt. Col. Vicci is a traditional drilling Guardsman with more than 20 years of service and has served in a variety of positions including: Troop Commander, C Troop, 5-117th Cavalry, Picatinny; Munitions Material Officer, 42nd Division Support Command, Somerset; Administrative Officer, HQ STARC, Lawrenceville; Standardization Officer, Headquarters State Area Command, Fort Dix; Administrative Officer, Headquarters State Area Command, Fort Dix, and Administrative Officer, Headquarters State Area Command, Fort Dix. Beginning this summer, he will be attending the UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter school in preparation for command. In his civilian occupation, he serves as the Director of Facilities, Trammell Crow Company. Lt. Col. Vicci was born March 2, 1958 in Plainfield. He received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and received his commission as a second lieutenant from the United States Military Academy, West Point, N.Y., in 1981. He has attended the following military schools: Air Assault, Infantry School, Officer Rotary Wing Aviator Course, Jr. Officer Preventive Maintenance Course, Aviation School, Officer Advanced Course, and the United States Army Command and General Staff Officers College. He has received numerous military decorations including: Expert Infantryman Badge, Senior Army Aviator Badge, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, Army Service Ribbon, New Jersey Merit Award, New Jersey Defense Service Ribbon, State Active Duty Ribbon, Air Assault Badge, and the Army Aviator Badge. |
