Scouts To Place Flags For Memorial Day At State Veterans Cemetery
WHO/WHAT: Brig. Gen. Michael L. Cunniff and more than 1,400 Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and Brownies place flags on graves of New Jersey veterans.
WHERE: Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, North Hanover Township, N.J. 08562
WHEN: Friday, May 25 at 4 p.m.
The Story: More than 1,400 Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and Brownies from troops throughout New Jersey will be decorating the graves in honor of Memorial Day at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery. The Scouts will begin arriving at 4 p.m. and start placing flags on each of the nearly 43,000 graves at 5 p.m. This community service will be commemorated with a scouting patch. |
