Di Micco Assumes Command
108th Mission Support Group
JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, N.J., -- Col. Vito A. Di Micco Jr. assumed command of the 108th Mission Support Group during an assumption of command ceremony at the 108th Logistics Readiness Squadron’s warehouse here, March 1, 2014.
Col. Robert A. Meyer Jr. presented the 108th MSG colors to Di Micco during the ceremony as a representation of Di Micco accepting the role as the 108th MSG commander.
As he assumed command of the 108th MSG, Di Micco made a promise to his troops, “I pledge to Communications flight…Force Support Squadron…Logistic Readiness Squadron…Security Forces…the contracting folks…and the Mission Support Group staff that I will work with you to make this organization world class and that we will provide the best service to our customers.”
Di Micco enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1980 and transferred to the New Jersey Air National Guard in 1984. He and his wife, Patricia, have two daughters, Jerilyn and Lauren and reside in Brick Township.
The 108th MSG provides vital mission support for the 108th Wing through engineering, security, mission support, services, supply, transportation, contracting and deployment readiness programs.
