177th Hosts 9/11 Flag

During the ceremony, Thomas W. McBrien IV, the 9/11 Memorial Flag project leader; Maj. Gen. Eugene Chojnacki, Commander, New Jersey Air National Guard; Col. Brian Webster, 177th Commander and Lt. Col. Robert Meyer, Jr., 108th Support Group Commander affixed the 177th, the 119th Fighter Squadron and 108th unit patches to the flag.

The Flag, which measures 22x32 feet and was created by the group United We Stand United We Sew; is comprised of 2,972 miniature American flags, inscribed with the names of the individuals who died in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The flag has been displayed at the Pentagon, in New York City and 72 locations across the United States.
