              AREA II    -    All Members of the NJNG

              AREA III   -    All personnel eligible for membership in the NJARNG

 

If a New Jersey Air National Guard (NJANG) member is selected, the person must transfer to the NJARNG, and must attend a 4 week Warrior Transition Course.

 

If the individual selected is currently on a title 10 tour no action can be taken until he/she is released from tour.

2.  All government employees must provide a copy of their last SF 50.

3. Insure information related to the specific job you are applying for is accurate, complete and describes job-related qualifications, rather than your entire work history over a period of years.  Please include all related military experience, i.e., AFSC, MOS, etc. and explain your duties and responsibilities.  HAVING THE AFSC/MOS DOES NOT IN ITSELF QUALIFY YOU FOR THIS POSITION.

Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.

 

MAJOR JOB DUTIES (a copy of the complete position description is available in the Human Resource Office): Reviews, evaluates and analyzes obligations and expenditures.  Assists management in interpretation and utilization of reports and information provided.  Provides recommendations to subordinate organizations for proper management of programs.  Based on budget guidance received from higher headquarters, develops an annual budget for programs.  Researches and interprets personnel and training regulations, DA Pam’s, Circulars, and NGB guidance.  Assists management in preparing guidelines and instructions to MSCs for development of the yearly State Operating Budget (SOB).  Develops and prepares current year program spreadsheets.  Formulates and reviews all Annual Funding Guidance/Programs (AFG/AFP) ensuring obligation authority is not exceeded and budget adjustments are properly staffed.  Develops, collects, and maintains various historical data used to initiate planning, programming and execution of current and future training and operations programs.  Performs other duties as assigned.

 

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:   Experience in administrative, professional, investigative, technical or other responsible work which demonstrates analytical ability and a practical and theoretical knowledge of the functions, processes and principles of management.

 

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:. Must have 24 months experience which demonstrates the ability to gather, assemble, and analyze facts; draws conclusions and develop solutions to assigned problems. 

KNOWLEDGE of National Guard Organizational structures, functions, procedures, and techniques. 

ABILITY to apply practices, theories, techniques, and methods of management. 

ABILITY to gather, assemble, and analyze facts; draw conclusions and develops solutions to assigned problems. 

ABILITY to analyze and interpret policies and procedures of higher headquarters as to applicability. 

SKILL in working with people at various trades and backgrounds. 

ABILITY to orally present and discuss complex matters and convincing manner

 

SUBSTITUTION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:  A maximum of 12 months of the required experience may substituted by successful completion of undergraduate study in an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester hours for 12 months of experience.  The education must have been in fields directly related to the type of work of the position.
