A Valentine's Day Present from MVC: 4K More Sq. Ft. Renovated Somerville Agency to Re-Open February 14th
(TRENTON) – The NJ Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) will re-open its Somerville Agency on Tuesday, February 14, after completing a renovation project that enlarged the agency by more than 4,000 square feet.
Customer- and employee-focused upgrades, such as better lighting and consistent signage, new furniture and rest rooms, as well as more transaction windows and customer space, are features of the renovated
Somerville is only the most recent renovation or entirely new agency opened by MVC. In the last two years, new MVC agencies opened in Mount Holly, Runnemede, Cardiff and Manahawkin. Renovation projects, like Somerville's, were completed in Camden and Toms River. More customer-service and facility-related upgrades are planned.
MVC licenses motorists at 45 locations around the state. In 2006, MVC expects a record number of license renewals at those agencies. Motorists should visit their local motor vehicle agency mid-week and mid-month to avoid the rush at each month’s beginning and end.
